Blue economy, mangrove ecosystems and water village life were among the selected works on display during the Brunei Ocean Exhibition 2026 in conjunction with Ocean Week Brunei 2026. The exhibition featuring ocean art and creative workshops is being held until the 14th of June, at a shopping centre in Jalan Utama Salambigar.
Among those present was Dayang Hajah Tutiaty binti Haji Abdul Wahab, Deputy Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry. Also held was a presentation on wrecks in Brunei and Borneo waters as well as the prize presentation for the Brunei Ocean Art Photo Competition.
At the event, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Poni Foundation and Sabah Wetlands Conservation Society for the Carbon AKAR Project. The project focuses on mangrove restoration, climate action and community participation. This was followed by the presentation of a photography book.
